Our heritage farm in Unken, which has been in our family since 1380, lies far from noise and the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Nestled in the mountains of the Salzburg Saalachtal, surrounded by lush meadows and pastures, we are situated on a gentle hilltop with breathtaking panoramic views.
The farm, with its mostly original, historic outbuildings (including the “Hühnerstall” alpine chalet) and its own chapel, forms a charming little hamlet with no direct neighbours – the perfect spot for your quiet getaway in Austria.
Wellness in the "chicken coop"
Would you like to "unwind" on holiday? Really relax and do something good for body, mind and soul? Then why not book our "chicken coop"! In addition to the rustic and modern furnishings of the holiday cottage, you can enjoy your own sauna and outdoor hot-pot here - both are available to you without restriction 24 hours a day, every day of your holiday.
Take a sauna and cool off afterwards in the (unheated) hot-pot or with the garden shower. Or simply heat the hot-pot and enjoy the dreamlike view of the Pinzgau mountains from the warm water.
The “Henhouse” chalet at the Soderhof
In our "Henhouse" you will be living in a rustic but nevertheless modern chalet directly beside the farm. Here you can breathe fresh mountain air, enjoy the alpine atmosphere but still be within spitting distance of Unken.
With 2 bedrooms, a cosy eat-in kitchen with a homely wooden stove, a modern bathroom and a private sauna, you have all the amenities you require for a perfect holiday!
The "Cowshed” holiday apartment at the Soderhof
The “Cowshed” holiday apartment spans 90 m2 and extends over 2 floors in a cosy Pinzgau farmhouse. A wooden terrace on the ground floor and a balcony on the first floor provide a view of the Unken mountains that you will never forget.
A tiled stove provides that "home at last” feeling after an eventful day on holiday. 2 bedrooms and a cosy eat-in kitchen give you the space you need for your free time. And having your own sauna in the apartment can only have benefits for your health.

Hiking
Right outside your chalet door, countless hiking trails lead through the Saalachtal Valley – from leisurely alpine walks to rewarding summit tours. In the morning, you might watch the sheep grazing before heading out into the mountains.

During your summer holiday, all guests receive the Salzburger Saalachtal Card – free of charge! This includes, among other things, free admission to the Seisenbergklamm gorge, Vorderkaserklamm gorge, the outdoor swimming pool, and free rides on the Almbahn Lofer cable car.
